Braden Smith may be among the most popular Auburn players among the fan base, which is ironic.

Why? He's not in this for popularity.

Smith, a native of Olathe, Kansas, has become something of a mythical hero during his two years on the Plains. Plucked from TCU just before National Signing Day 2014, Smith meticulously tended a garden in high school, sits behind home plate at every home Auburn softball game and leaves bystanders in awe because of his massive (yet remarkably un-flabby) body that makes him look like a pro wrestler.
