AUBURN | The numbers worked out for Daniel Thomas after all.

Just days after being told Auburn’s class was full, Thomas received an offer from the Tigers early Signing Day morning and committed just a couple of hours later.

The safety from Lee in Montgomery, Ala., saw his recruitment take off after a standout senior season. He also visited Minnesota, South Carolina and North Carolina.

Thomas, 6-foot and 185 pounds, had 87 tackles and seven interceptions as a senior. He returned two of those interceptions and three punts for touchdowns.

Thomas’ offer came shortly after Rivals100 safety Nigel Warrior committed to Tennessee, where his father played, over Auburn.
