ATLANTA | Will Ignont released a list of his top 10 schools Saturday night and the No. 2 inside linebacker recruit in 2017 has a new SEC team at the top.

Ignont, who is ranked No. 55 in the Rivals100, lists Georgia No. 1, followed by Auburn, UCLA, Michigan and Alabama. The Bulldogs replaced the Tigers atop Ignont’s list after the IMG Academy linebacker visited Athens on Friday.

“It was a really good visit,” Ignont said. “I got to see coach Kirby Smart and the rest of the coaches. Me and Coach Smart have a really good relationship. We have had a good relationship since he was at Alabama. I know he’s a great coach and has a great staff. I think they are going to do really big things at Georgia in the future.”

Auburn, which had long been Ignont’s top school, slid to the No. 2 slot.

“It’s really close between Georgia and Auburn,” Ignont said. “I really like Georgia and I really like Auburn. I have been to Auburn a lot and I am comfortable there. The coaching staff is great. I love the coaches. It doesn’t get any better than those guys. I have known them since my freshman year so they are like father figures.”

Ignont’s itinerary over the next week includes a return trip to Auburn. He’ll be back on the Plains for the Tigers’ spring game on April 9. Rounding out Ignont’s top 10 are LSU, Notre Dame, Ole Miss, Florida and Miami.

Ignont, who stands 6-foot-1 and weighs 240 pounds, was an all-state linebacker at Buckhorn (Ala.) before transferring to IMG in Bradenton, Fla.
