Monday decision for Bishop

Terrell (Dawson, Ga.) QB/ATH Tray Bishop will announce his commitment Monday.

Tray Bishop is ready to announce his commitment.

The quarterback/athlete from Terrell High in Dawson, Ga. will choose Auburn, Florida or Georgia on Monday. Bishop narrowed his choices to the three SEC schools and visited each in the past week.

Bishop, who stands 6-foot-3 and weighs 195 pounds, was in Auburn on Saturday. The No. 33-ranked athlete in the 2017 class and at least seven members of his family visited Auburn for the Tigers' War Damn BBQ event.

“(Auburn) had this nice video made where they had the Auburn plays and the plays I had similar to that,” Bishop said after the visit. “Most of them were the Nick Marshall plays he had and the plays I had alike.”

Auburn is offering Bishop the opportunity to play quarterback, while Florida wants him at safety and Georgia as an athlete, according to Bishop. The chance to play quarterback in college could be an advantage for the Tigers.

“With this recruiting class, we’ve (Auburn) got some big linemen coming in so that kind of keeps me wanting to play quarterback,” Bishop said Saturday. “The receiver group that just came, they’ll be here next year, too.”
