AUBURN | Auburn moved to the top of the list for defensive back C.J. Miller.

The 6-foot-1, 185-pound safety from McEachern in Powder Springs, Ga. visited Auburn on Saturday for the Tigers' Junior Day.

“I’m leaning toward Auburn after this visit,” Miller said. “I like the coaching staff. It’s a good coaching staff. I really liked the visit, just being around everybody. It felt like family.”

Miller spent time with area recruiter Tim Horton and Auburn secondary coach Wesley McGriff.

“They told me a lot of good stuff,” Miller said. “They want me to come back in the spring.”

Miller doesn’t have an offer from Auburn, but that could change soon. The Tigers are heavily recruiting him, as are Mississippi State and Tennessee, among others.

“I really like it a lot at Auburn,” Miller said. “Mississippi State is close to offering and I think Tennessee is, too. But if Auburn were to offer, that would change a lot.”

Miller plans to return to Auburn for a practice in the spring. He also plans to visit Duke on Saturday.
