FIRST QUARTER
Marlon Davidson stripped the ball from Arkansas quarterback Ben Hicks on the third play of the game and recovered the fumble on the UA 22-yard line. Three plays later Bo Nix ran it in from four yards out for the touchdown. The Razorbacks had just -1 yard on their first two drives. Au struck quickly again as Kam Martin had a 52-yard run and Shaun Shivers capped a 3-play drive with a 6-yard TD run. Anders Carlson made a 44-yard FG at the end of the quarter to put the Tigers up 17-0.
SECOND QUARTER
Chandler Wooten intercepted a fake punt attempt by Arkansas but Auburn failed to convert the turnover as Carlson missed a 48-yard FG. Auburn managed just 13 yards in the entire second quarter. The Razorbacks missed a 44-yard field goal to end the half.
THIRD QUARTER
Auburn started the half with a 3-and-out. Arkansas responded with its best drive of the game going 77 yards in 16 plays culminating in a 28-yard FG. The Tigers answered as Nix connected with Seth Williams on a 48-yard TD pass and a 24-3 lead. Carlson made the extra point as AU set the all-time NCAA record with 303 consecutive made PATs. Javaris Davis intercepted a pass and then Nix found Anthony Schwartz for a 28-yard TD pass as AU scored two TDs within 22 seconds. Nix fumbled on AU's next series and UA scored its first TD of the game with a 45-yard TD pass to CJ O'Grady.
FOURTH QUARTER
AU opened the quarter with a 64-yard drive as Nix connected with Williams for a 15-yard TD. Carlson missed the XP, ending AU's streak at 304. Joey Gatewood took over at QB and drove AU to a score, finding Jay Jay Wilson for a 17-yard TD pass. Harold Joiner added a 32-yard TD run to cap the win.
