Decision day for Rivals100 RB Devan Barrett

Decision day is today for Devan Barrett.

The No. 5-ranked running back in the 2017 class will announce his commitment at 6 p.m. EDT on Bright House Sports Network in Tampa, Fla.

“I’m ready,” Barrett said. “I know where I want to go.”

Barrett will choose either Auburn, Florida, North Carolina, Notre Dame or Tennessee. He visited Auburn, Florida, North Carolina and Tennessee during the summer, including a three-day visit to Auburn in mid-July. Barrett also considered offers from USC, Arkansas, Alabama, Miami and Florida State, among others.

Barrett rushed for 1,891 yards and 21 touchdowns on 187 carries last season as a junior, an average of 10.1 yards per touch. He also had 15 receptions for 218 yards and two scores.

Rivals ranks Barrett, who stands 6-foot-1 and weighs 195 pounds, the No. 71 overall player in the class.
