Kameron Martin didn't need as much time as he thought.

Martin, who planned to announce a decision between Auburn and TCU on Monday or Tuesday, informed Auburn coach Gus Malzahn Sunday night of his intentions to enroll at Auburn.

"I committed to Auburn," Martin said. "I just got off the phone with Coach Malzahn. He was very excited and so I am."

Martin, who was ranked No. 242 in the 2016 Rivals250, took an official visit to Auburn on Friday and Saturday. He visited TCU on Sunday, but the Horned Frogs didn't overcome the impression the Tigers made.

“It’s just family at Auburn, and that’s the main thing for me,” Martin said after his visit. “I’m looking for someone to treat me like family.”

Martin signed with Baylor in February, but was released after Art Briles and the Bears parted ways. The 5-foot-9, 180-pound back will enroll at Auburn this summer and be eligible immediately.

Rivals ranked Martin the No. 33 player in Texas in the 2016 class. He is the second running back in Auburn's 2016 class, joining Malik Miller, who enrolled in December.
